T.I. is heartbroken these days after the passing of his best friend, Terrance ‘Cap’ Beasley. He was killed in prison a few days ago at the age of 40.
Beasley’s death is investigated by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Georgia Department of Corrections. He reportedly died after an altercation with another inmate.
T.I. penned the most emotional message on his social media account dedicated to his best friend, and inspiration. Check it out below:
‘A coward dies a thousand deaths, a soldier dies but once.” From friends to family over these 25 years we’ve been in each other’s lives. We turned our teenage experiences into a lifestyle & a movement. This is my Brother. Boss Cap…HE IS THE GODFATHER/INSPIRATION for Trap Muzik!!!! All the stories I’ve told on every album I’ve EVER MADE has been either about you or an experience we went through together. You’ve taught US so much about the strength (mental and physical) & fearlessness,’ Tip began his post.
He continued and said: ‘When I said “5’9 wit the soul of a 6’4 NI66A”… I had you in mind… you were the strongest most fearless (&feared)person I ever got to know personally. Honestly,I can’t begin to convey what you mean to US…but I’ll try. We were all runways from broken homes looking for something REAL to believe in. We found in each other ALL THAT WE WERE MISSING AT HOME!!! Family, love, support, & stability.’

Tip also said that ‘I never gaf what nobody thought about me cuz b4 I was special to any1 else I was the SHIT amongst US! When I didn’t believe in myself u believed in ME. U told me that I was gon be everything I am. I remember the first night we met, we were 15 & 16, looking to find our place in a world that would’ve ignored US if we allowed it to. I remember learning how to shake12 on high-speed chases by using your “reckless but defensive” driving tactics (emergency brake u-turns etc) I remember you introducing me to @douggrandhustle @kthustle @c_rodthomas @macboneyfool @da_great_inday @kuntryking & @hustlegangdoc becoming the best friends that anyone could ask for.’
